## Description

## Transcript

I was wrong about MCP servers. I thought six months ago that you could take your open API spec and generate them. I think that misses out on a huge swath of functionality though. Number one, that doesn't really embed the workflows or the intent or the business logic. And number two, it doesn't talk anything about prompts. A lot of people aren't using prompts or exposing prompts in their MCP servers. And that's a huge place where I think people can add a ton of value because it's the difference between telling the LLM like figure it out on your own versus having a structured mental model that the LLM can follow. So by adding prompts, you're giving it this like predictable, reusable, auditable prompt that we know works because we are the authors of the MCP server. We know how it's intended to work and it gives you a way to get better results out of the interaction. Have you added prompts to your MCP server? What do you think? Can we generate these bad boys?
