how do you know what changed in the most recent commit if you do a git log you can see all of the different commits that just happened and this is the most recent commit right this is the second most recent commit and right now i my head is pointing at this issuing elements branch and inside of this issuing elements commit i might not actually know what all the files were changed or what the changes were in here so what i can do is grab the commit that was right before it and if i look at git status right now my working branch is clean i don't have any changes right now so i can do git diff on the second to last change and now i can see all of the changes that are happening as part of that most recent commit something i also like to do is say git diff with the carrot at the end sometimes people will say hat so get diff head hat and that shows me all of the same changes
