## Description

## Transcript

It's been a year since MCP dropped and we've still got this big hurdle around authentication. Agents can do a lot and we're giving them a lot of power. Especially if you look at like the Open Claw ecosystem, agents are unleashed across email and text messaging and all kinds of tools. But it's about what are they allowed to do? What may you do? Not what can you do, what may you do. The capabilities are great and we know that MCP servers unlock a lot of power inside of these agents, but we don't yet have the control or the ability to trust that it's going to do what we expected to do. We have an internal Gmail MCP server. Very powerful, really handy to have, especially when you're running operations and you handle tons and tons of email every day. But when it sends an email unintentionally, then you're running into some problems. And so really understanding the granularity of what the agent may do is going to be the next hurdle that we need to get over for MCP.
