so in the last episode we set up gravatar but in this episode we're going to update the devise layout so that our authentication views don't look awful so right now if you go to the users any of the user routes right now it's attempting to use this gravatar url because it's using the layout from the application so what we can do is if we go into uh application layouts for we can create a new one called devise.html.erb and this device layout all that we have to do is name it devise and this will take over for when we're rendering when we're rendering the device controllers so now we see nothing spit out that's because we need to yield and so now we have a custom layout specific to devise so you just have to name it devise and then it will that will be used for all your authentication views so now if we log back in we're actually going to sign up okay what i wanted to do was see yep so now we can see that our gravatar is using our face so that is how you can create a custom layout for device you just name it device.html.erb and drop it in your layouts file alright let's wrap it there and we'll see in the next one [Music]
