Transcript hey what's up welcome back in this episode you're going to see how we're using dolly to auto generate some of our branding information as we build out this creator platform i just got access to dolly i'm super excited to try it this is literally the first time i'm submitting it so i want it to generate a logo for a creator platform that enables creators to sell their digital products it should use at most two colors and be very clean and sharp i don't know let's see generate oh okay a blue orange slice in half laying on a blue floor in front of a blue wall uh okay oh interesting plat four did i spell platform wrong okay creator platform okay this is interesting having a p for our platfore uh interesting interesting interesting okay so let's try this again so generate generate a simple logo for a e-commerce platform with a professional clean aesthetic did i spell that wrong okay i don't know let's see generate interesting okay uh it's still very i don't know it's very kind of like rough i don't know why um why it's so why the edges are so kind of yeah like almost like as if it's being painted so i don't know oh shoot i clicked generate again i don't know uh yeah so we've got we've got a few different we've got a few different answers here i mean this is all very much odd and computer generated and not what i expected in any way whatsoever but um let's see okay deca this is getting much closer okay this is pretty cool okay so the the platform otta kady katie i don't know this this style though is pretty cool i like this um okay so what is this um generate variations of this thing well okay i guess generate a simple logo for an e-commerce platform called um creator platform dot xyz let's see if it actually uses creator platform to xyz in the content um because that would be pretty cool if we could just like the idea is that we want to replace the default tailwind ui workflow logos um with prob like ideally a circle but okay oh wow these are these are really really interesting it's so odd to see wow okay it's probably because we had that xyz so now all these sort of look like they're they have an x in them um really interesting all right so let's see generate a professional logo for an e-commerce platform how about if we just say for a website called creatorplatform.xyz i really do kind of like these colors though this light blue and this this like red um so those are kind of cool i don't know oh what this is so i love this this one is this is gonna be it right here this is it okay so we're gonna download i don't know like we'll have to mess around with it a little bit um and get it into a good format and stuff but that is gonna be the logo i it's that's that's it uh so this is generated by dolly and this is to be our new logo and this is also going to be our color so we're going to use this color i'm going to remove this text from down here and we're just going to call this our our new logo so we're going to copy that and let's see so yeah so let's make a new file all right all right we're gonna save that as our new like creator platform logo.png and we're going to save it into documents so here let's just move documents creator platform logo into app assets images and now inside of the um application html erb where we have image tags so let's go look at where these are so yeah this this first image tag here at the top let's try replacing that with our new image image path to what is this called again app assets images creator platform logo.png creator platform dash logo.png let's just see what it looks like if we just replace that okay that is not replacing what i expected okay oh that you know that one shows us hidden let's replace this other one also and oh that is so sick oh my gosh i love it that is so cool holy moly so this is not going to work super nicely on our on our marketing page because it doesn't have the transparent background but let's let's just do it anyways and see see how it turns out so if we go to the marketing route and find the image here and refresh this page okay yeah so that looks pretty nasty um but we can remove the background okay remove dot bg we're just going to pass in our image here app assets images pick the logo have it remove the background then we're going to download this new png and let's use that one instead move downloads creator platform with remove background to app assets images we're just going to call this one logo.png and now we can jump back into our application html erb and we'll just call this logo and marketing.html the root for that logo and now when we come back over to our application we refresh nice we have a sweet logo okay so let's take let's also take that color which is blue and let's apply that so that we have some like this here we'll use blue and maybe sky instead so if we try to find a better way to make content so let's find make content here so you'll see that in tailwind ui is using this bg gradient 2r from teal to cyan or cayenne right so we can say from teal to blue and let's just see what happens here so now that's like turning more to a blue right more to a blue color which is cool so we just changed cyan to blue so let's make that change everywhere cyan blue slash g and now there's going to be a bunch of stuff well okay it's immediately going to remove the image because that was depending on that cyan but now if we go to the dashboard also we have like this indigo color we can make that blue so that it matches our new brand colors so we can actually get grep for indigo and there's a whole bunch of places that we need to change it so let's just jump into one of them we're going to say indigo to blue slash g and then we're going to look for all of the references to indigo and now our whole application is blue see the the lines at the bottom of this thing are blue and the line that goes across the top is blue our button is blue our links are blue this is all it's all blue so it matches now with our logo a little bit closer it's not actually perfect if we wanted to give a specific value for that blue we could go into our tailwind theme and override it but this is actually pretty close to what i was hoping to get so now we have a pretty sweet um little logo there it kind of reminds me of xyz a little bit it's our creator platform and yeah it's looking really good so that is how we can use dolly to generate a logo we're gonna use that brand for uh for the rest of the demo thank you so much for watching and we'll see you in the next one [Music] you ---
